The grand opening of the McVey Data Science building signifies a new chapter for digital innovation and technology at Miami University. The building is home to the departments of Emerging Technology in Business + Design, Statistics, and Computer Science and Software Engineering, as well as the Center for Analytics and Data Science (CADS).
Thanks to the generosity of Miami alumnus
Rick McVey ’81, Founder and Executive Chairman of MarketAxess, this building brings a multidisciplinary approach to data science that will help advance the field and impact generations of Miami students for years to come.
After the ribbon cutting ceremony, featured special guest speaker Billy Beane will present
Moneyball: Lessons for Life and Business from Baseball’s Best General Manager. The evening will conclude with tours of the new building.
