Aimee Venot is a technology leader at Ruggable, a rapidly growing startup that designs and manufactures machine-washable rugs. Aimee leads Ruggable’s internal technology teams across software engineering, product management, UX/UI design, data engineering, security, and IT. She loves working on technical solutions to solve customers' toughest, most complex problems, and she is very involved in Chicago’s technology start-up community. She has previously worked with top companies like Google, Apple, Kroger, and Spotify, and has experience working in product design, robotics, automation, people management, and Lean Six-Sigma. Aimee graduated from Miami’s Honors program magna cum laude. Aimee also minored in Chinese. In her free time, she likes to garden, travel, work on graphic design, and share her passion for wine with friends.
While at Miami, Aimee studied abroad in Tianjin, China, and was active in the China America Business Organization (CABO) and Tau Beta Pi. Amy was a first-year resident of Anderson Hall, and could often be found studying on the top floor of King Library or at Koffenya while she was on campus.

What advice would you give to the first-year students of the Class of 2025? There is a triangle of priorities that you'll constantly need to balance in life: friends/social, studying/work, and health. Really spend the time as a freshman creating good habits to balance these priorities in a way that makes sense for you!
What have you learned in 2021? Slow down and take each day at a time.
