The Miami University Foundation is a separate, independent entity chartered by the State of Ohio as a 501 (c)(3) organization. The foundation is the official fundraising and gift-receiving entity for Miami University. The foundation is tasked with supporting the educational and research activities of Miami University. A board of directors oversees the foundation's assets and undertakings. To that end, the Miami University Foundation Board of Directors is committed to donors having an extraordinary philanthropic experience and consistently strives to ensure donor wishes are observed and gifts are used for the purpose stated by the donors.
