Established in 1948, the Miami University Foundation’s mission has been to support the educational and research activities of Miami University and to receive, invest and steward contributions for the financial support and benefit of the university in accordance with university policy and donor specifications.
The foundation has matured into a not-for-profit organization that has instituted best practices for foundations affiliated with public universities. The foundation’s board of directors has adopted a formal committee structure, which currently includes these ongoing committees: audit and finance, communications, development, governance, investment, spending, stewardship, and trust and gift annuities.
