On Friday, Nov. 9, Miami hosted a Gala Event celebrating the Miami University Campaign For Love and Honor in Northeast Ohio at the Intercontinental Hotel in Cleveland. The "New Day for Miami" celebration included presentations by Regional Campaign Chair Ted Goble and Miami University President David Hodge. Following dinner, faculty member Dr. Melissa Chase, associate dean of the School of Education and Allied Professions, and student Kerry McCormack, a pre-business major from Cleveland, talked about their own commitments to Miami. Sue Morten Rogers, the chair of the campaign's regional gifts committee, told the group about the recent extension to the bicentennial year of 2009 and the increased goal of $500 million. There were also performances by members of the Miami Men's Glee Club.
