Chicago Campaign Celebration

On Sunday, November 5, Miami hosted a Gala Event celebrating the Miami University Campaign For Love and Honor in Chicago at The Field Museum which included exclusive access to the King Tutanhkamun exhibit at the internationally known museum. The "New Day for Miami" celebration also included presentations by Chicago Regional Campaign Chairs, Beth ’82 and Jim ’82 Mynhier and Miami University President David Hodge. During the dinner that followed, faculty member Dr. Glenn Platt, Professor of Marketing, and student Hilary Chaikin, a junior in political science from Long Grove, Ill talked about their own commitments to Miami. Sue Rogers, the chair of the campaign's regional gifts committee, told the group about the recent extension to the bicentennial year of 2009 and the increased goal of $500 million. There were also performances by the Miami Men's Glee Club.
