Cincinnati Campaign Celebration

On Friday, September 29, Miami hosted a Gala Event celebrating the Miami University Campaign For Love and Honor in Cincinnati, Ohio at the Duke Energy Center in downtown Cincinnati. The "New Day for Miami" celebration included presentations by Regional Campaign Chair John Peck and Miami University President David Hodge. During the dinner that followed, faculty member Dr. Glenn Platt, Professor of Marketing, and student Kiran Faryar, a zoology major from Cincinnati, talked about their own commitments to Miami. Sue Rogers, the chair of the campaign's regional gifts committee, told the group about the recent extension to the bicentennial year of 2009 and the increased goal of $500 million. There were also performances by the Miami Men's Glee Club and the Miami University Dance Theatre.
