Registration (Goggin Ice Center)
Your first stop at Alumni Weekend is the Goggin Ice Center to check in at the Welcome Center. Pick up your registration packet, browse the hospitality booths as well as the Alumni Shop for the latest in alumni merchandise and grab a Tuffy’s toasted roll to get your first taste of Miami nostalgia for the weekend!

1-3 p.m.
Class of 1964 Meet & Greet
(Goggin Ice Center)
Start the 50-year celebrations at the Class of 1964 Meet & Greet at Goggin Ice Center. This is a great opportunity to get reacquainted with your classmates in anticipation of the rest of the weekend’s events!

5:30 p.m.
Class of 1964 Reception & Dinner

(Shriver Center, MPR)
In the first of many special events planned to celebrate the newest 50-year reunion class, the Class of 1964 will gather in the Shriver Center Multi-Purpose Room for a night of fine dining, music and Miami nostalgia. President David Hodge also will present each member of the Class of 1964 with a 50-year medallion during a special ceremony at dinner.

Grab a breakfast bag, which includes a pastry, fruit and coffee/juice, and make your way to the buses for the exclusive Class of 1964 Campus Tour.  It will be the perfect start to a day full of events on and off campus!

Class of 1964 Campus Tour, hosted by Advancement Staff & MUSF
Following Friday morning’s continental breakfast, the Miami University Student Foundation (MUSF) will host a combined bus and walking tour of campus for the Class of 1964. See what’s new and what’s stayed the same after 50 years!

10:30 a.m.-noon
Alumni College Opening Lecture

(Armstrong Student Center, Wilks Theatre)
Bob Keller ’73, former Miami University architect and university planner, will trace the development of Miami’s campus through the decades to the campus we have today. You’ll also get a special sneak peek of what’s being planned for the future of our campus over the next 20 years and beyond.

11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Campus Tours, hosted by MUSF

With so many new changes coming to Miami’s campus, who better to host a tour than students who are experiencing these changes as they happen? The Miami University Student Foundation (MUSF) will lead campus tours throughout the day, so take this opportunity to revisit some of your favorite spots and learn about Miami’s future landmarks!

11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
Class of 1964 Luncheon
(Armstrong Student Center, Pavillion)
After the Opening Lecture, join your classmates for a luncheon exclusively for the Class of 1964. This will be a chance to catch up with more of your classmates and class representatives will provide an update on the Class of 1964 Scholarship.

2-3 p.m.
Class of 1964 Armstrong Student Center Tour

(Armstrong Student Center, Pavillion Lobby)
This is the Class of 1964’s opportunity to get a tour of the newest building on Miami’s Campus. Join the tour to learn about this wonderful building and all it has to offer Miami students.

2-4:15 p.m.
Alumni College Classes without Quizzes
(Engineering/Benton/Garland Hall)
Classes Without Quizzes are back at Alumni Weekend, and will be held at Benton Hall, the Engineering Building and Garland Hall. Spend time in the classroom with members of Miami’s esteemed faculty as they cover a wide range of popular topics and current events. And, as the name implies, no need to worry about quizzes—there’s no grading here

3-5 p.m.
Memorial Service & Dedication
(Kumler Chapel)
Program and dedication to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Freedom Summer.

5:30-7:30 p.m.
Class of 1954 Dinner (Shriver Center, MPR A)
Celebrate your 60-year reunion with the Class of 1954 at a special reception to be held in Multi-Purpose Room A of the Shriver Center. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available for drinks.
($25 per person)

5:30-7:30 p.m.
Class of 1959 Dinner (Shriver Center, Heritage Room)
Celebrate your 55-year reunion with the Class of 1959 at a special reception to be held in the Heritage Room of the Shriver Center. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available for drinks.
($25 per person)

5:30-7:30 p.m.
Tau Kappa Epsilon Family Dinner

(Tau Kappa Epsilon House, 112 South Campus)
Brothers of Tau Kappa Epsilon come together for a Reunion of the Delta-Xi Chapter, concurrent with Miami's Annual Alumni Weekend. We have much to celebrate including the 60th Anniversary of the founding of our Chapter.
($25 per Adult; $15 per child [12 & Under])

6-9:30 p.m.
Registration (Uptown Park)
We don’t want you to miss any of the action so we are moving Alumni Weekend registration and housing check-in to the Uptown Parks. You may pick up your registration packet and your housing keys in the park from 6-9:30 p.m.

6-10 p.m.
Uptown Party
Back again this year, the Uptown Street Party will be held from 6:30-11:30 p.m. in Uptown Park! There will be music and plenty of room for dancing, kid’s activities, and a beer/wine garden on Main Street —the perfect prelude to the class reunion parties that will be held at various Uptown locations later in the evening! Grab some food from the uptown restaurants and bring it out to the park to enjoy the music and the fun.
(No ticket required; food available at local restaurants; beer and wine for purchase.)

8-11 p.m.
Theatre Department Cabaret
(Center for Performing Arts, Gates-Abegglen Theatre)
Join Miami Theatre alumni to reminisce with friends and enjoy an evening of entertainment and song. Doors Open at 8 p.m. and performances begins at 9 p.m. Ticket price includes dessert, deluxe coffee, and entertainment by Theatre Alumni.
($20 per person)

8-midnight
Reunion Class Parties
(Various Uptown Establishments, Specific Locations TBA)
If your class year ends in a “4” or an “9”, then this is a reunion year for you! Check your final schedule upon arrival for full details. Reunions will be held at designated Uptown spots beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday.

This annual luncheon in the Shriver Center Multi-Purpose Room brings together Miamians who graduated at least 50 years ago—the “wisest” of Miami’s alumni! In celebration of their golden anniversary during Alumni Weekend 2014, the Class of 1964 will be welcomed into the Hughes Society with a special induction ceremony during the luncheon.

Come prepared to share stories and receive updates about the Luxembourg campus.

MiamiFest (Slant Walk)
Alumni Weekend culminates in MiamiFest, a huge outdoor party complete with food, music and fun for Miamians of all ages!

This year, MiamiFest is getting made over—starting with the location. Moving from its traditional spot in Central Quad, MiamiFest will be held on Slant Walk, the symbolic heart of Miami’s campus.

MiamiFest will also feature the “Taste of Miami” setup, where you’ll get to pick and choose your favorite culinary traditions, and featured entertainment will include the Campus Owls Tribute Band and a special reunion concert from the Cheezies.

If you’re bringing the kids, KidsZone will be open from 6:30-9:30 p.m. with plenty of outdoor activities for those under the age of 12.

The Hodges will give an update on what’s going on around campus and what the future holds for our college old and grand!
