Judy Smith, crisis management expert and the inspiration for the hit TV show “Scandal,” will present the keynote address at Miami University’s third annual Women in Leadership Symposium.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Registration is for the entire Symposium, which includes the Judy Smith keynote. If you want to ONLY attend the Judy Smith lecture, you do NOT need to register in advance. The lecture is open to the public, no ticket required. Doors will open at 3:30. Symposium registrants will receive priority seating for the Judy Smith keynote as part of their registration.

The Miami Initiative for Advancing, Mentoring and Investing in Women is a university-wide initiative that works with alumni, campus offices and student groups in its efforts to encourage and support opportunities for women in leadership.

2016 Women's in Leadership Symposium Schedule>>

The symposium will be hosted on Miami University’s Oxford campus at the Armstrong Student Center. Attendance is open to the general public, and all Miami students, alumni, faculty, staff and local community members are encouraged to attend. Ticket information and further details will be available soon.

M.I.A.M.I. Women hosted its inaugural Women in Leadership Symposium in 2014, with keynote speaker Geena Davis, and gained significant momentum with a successful 2015 Symposium, featuring Pulitzer Prize-winning authors Nicholas Kristoff and Sheryl WuDunn.

The M.I.A.M.I. Women initiative benefits from the strong leadership of its M.I.A.M.I. Women Steering Committee  as well as key partnerships across campus, including the Miami Women’s Center and Office of Career Services.
