Your first stop at Alumni Weekend is the Goggin Ice Center to check in at the Welcome Center. Pick up your registration packet, browse the hospitality booths as well as the Alumni Shop for the latest in alumni merchandise and grab a Tuffy’s toasted roll to get your first taste of Miami nostalgia for the weekend!

Class of 1966 Meet & Greet

Start the 50-year celebrations at the Class of 1966 Meet & Greet at Goggin Ice Center. This is a great opportunity to get reacquainted with your classmates in anticipation of the rest of the weekend’s events!

Class of 1966 Golden Anniversary Reception & Dinner

(Armstrong Student Center, Pavilion Lobby - 3rd Floor - Reception; Armstrong Student Center, Pavilion - 3rd Floor - Dinner)
In the first of many special events planned to celebrate the newest 50-year reunion class, the Class of 1966 will gather in the Armstrong Student Center Pavilion for a night of fine dining, music and Miami nostalgia. President David Hodge also will present each member of the Class of 1966 with a 50-year medallion during a special ceremony at dinner.

Bob Keller ’73, former Miami University architect and university planner, will trace the development of Miami’s campus through the decades to the campus we have today. You’ll also get a special sneak peek of what’s being planned for the future of our campus over the next 20 years and beyond.

Class of 1966 Campus Tour, Hosted by Advancement Staff and Miami University Student Foundation (MUSF) Students

(Armstrong Student Center, Front Steps)
Following the Opening Lecture, members of the University Advancement Staff and the Miami University Student Foundation (MUSF) will host a bus tour of campus and Uptown Oxford exclusively for the Class of 1966. This is the best way to see the buildings and places that Bob Keller spoke about during the Opening Lecture. It is sure to bring back so many wonderful memories as well!

With so many new changes coming to Miami’s campus, who better to host a tour than students who are experiencing these changes as they happen? The Miami University Student Foundation (MUSF) will lead campus tours throughout the day, so take this opportunity to revisit some of your favorite spots and learn about Miami’s future landmarks!

After the Opening Lecture, join your classmates for a luncheon exclusively for the Class of 1966. This will be a chance to catch up with more of your classmates and hear from current students who will be seated at each table during lunch.

1:30-2:30 p.m.
Class of 1966 Armstrong Student Center Tour

(Armstrong Student Center, Pavilion Lobby - 3rd)
This is the Class of 1966’s opportunity to get a tour of the newest building on Miami’s Campus. Join the tour to learn about this wonderful building and all it has to offer Miami students.

4:00-5:00 p.m.
1809 LGBT (Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender) Alumni Reception

(Lewis Place)
There is no better way to begin the 1809 LGBT Reunion than with reception hosted by President David C. Hodge and Valerie Hodge in Lewis Place. This is the Hodge’s last Alumni Weekend before they retire at the end of June so this will be a special reception to say the least. The event will include hors d’oeuvres and a hosted bar. Don’t miss this exclusive opportunity to participate in this reception with the Hodge’s

Hughes Society Dinner Honoring the Classes of 1956 & 1961

(Marcum Conference Center, Rooms 180-186)
NEW THIS YEAR! We are starting the Hughes Society celebrations at Alumni Weekend earlier this year with this new Hughes Society Dinner. We will honor the both the Class of 1956 and the Class of 1961 and their 60-year and 55-year reunions respectively. Don’t miss this opportunity to kick-off Alumni Weekend with the “wisest” of all Miami Alumni. This event includes a heavy hors d’oeuvres dinner, a pound cake dessert buffet and a hosted bar.
($25 per person)

6 p.m.
Delta Chi Reunion Dinner

(Delta Chi House, 131 E. Withrow St.)
All Delta Chi alumni are invited to the Delta Chi chapter house for a reunion dinner honoring the brothers from the Class of 1966. This is a great chance to connect with fellow Delta Chi’s and hear about the great things that the Miami Chapter is doing in 2016!
($25 per person)

1809 LGBT Reunion Dinner

(MacMillan Hall, Great Room)
After the reception at Lewis Place with the Hodges, join us for a special reunion dinner at MacMillan Hall. This will be a great opportunity to continue to connect with your classmates and friends from your time at Miami. This dinner will include a delicious meal and a hosted bar.
($25 per person)

Class of 1991 Reunion Dinner

(Marcum Conference Center, Rooms 154-158)
There is no better way to start Alumni Weekend than a reunion reception and dinner with your classmates. Start your evening at this meal and then make your way Uptown to continue the celebration. This event includes a reception with hors d’oeuvres, a dinner and a hosted bar.
($25 per person)

7-9 p.m.
The Miami Student Reunion Reception

(Tappan Hall basement)
Start your 1970's Miami Student reunion with the reunion reception. As you get into town, be sure to pop in and connect with classmates. This event will include hors d'oeuvres and a hosted bar.
($10 per person)

6:30-8:30 p.m.
Welcome Back Party

(Goggin Ice Arena, In the Quad between Goggin and Parking Garage)
Gather with your classmates to kick off the weekend with food, music and fun before heading Uptown to visit your favorite establishments. A DJ will be spinning some tunes; there will be bubble pools and an inflatable obstacle course for kids; and there will be corn hole boards too. Stop by the Goggin to get the weekend party started right!

Class of 1966 Reunion Party

(Armstrong Student Center, Bob & Doris ’52 Pulley Diner)
The 50-year reunion class will gather at the Bob & Doris ’52 Pulley Diner for their reunion party. Enjoy this new space on campus, a space that looks like an old-time diner, complete with booths and a soda fountain bar. Typical diner food will be served including, but not limited to, sliders, steak sandwiches, onion rings, fries, milk shakes, and, of course, toasted rolls. There will also be a cash bar available.

Toasted Roll Run/Walk 5K

Back for its second year is the Alumni Weekend 5K. Take this opportunity to run on your beautiful campus and see the many changes and relive so many wonderful memories. Each registered runner will receive a Toasted Roll Run/Walk 5K technical shirt and toasted rolls will be available at the end of the race. Join us as we revive this 5K tradition.

Class of 1991 Campus Tour & Reception

Members of the University Advancement Staff and the Miami University Student Foundation (MUSF) will host a combined bus and walking tour of campus exclusively for the Class of 1991. See what’s new and what’s stayed the same after 25 years! The tour will culminate with an exclusive coffee and pastries reception at Lewis Place hosted by President David C. Hodge and Valerie Hodge. This is the Hodge’s last Alumni Weekend before they retire at the end of June so you won’t want to miss this event!

Progressive Lunch Experience

(Garden Commons, On East Quad attached to Symmes Hall, Behind Farmer School of Business)
The progressive lunch experience will be just that…an experience. Don’t miss this opportunity to see the newest dining facility on campus. Fitted with a chef’s hat and coat, you will not only sample the food—you will also take part in cooking demonstrations. You will also receive a Miami Recipes cookbook and other items from the demonstrations that you will be able to take home with you. The experience starts PROMPTLY at 11:45 a.m. and if you are late you may miss one of the stations.

Hughes Society Luncheon & Class of '66 Induction

This annual luncheon in the Armstrong Student Center Pavilion brings together Miamians who graduated at least 50 years ago—the “wisest” of Miami’s alumni! In celebration of their golden anniversary during Alumni Weekend 2016, the Class of 1966 will be welcomed into the Hughes Society with a special induction ceremony during the luncheon.
($20 per person)

The Miami Student Reunion Lunch

(Shriver Center, Heritage Room)
Join your fellow 1970's The MiamiStudent alumni for a lunch and gathering. Take this opportunity to reconnect with friends and classmates you have not seen in years. Grab lunch and talk about your time covering the news that was happening on campus while you were a student. In addition to the lunch and reconnecting with friends, you will also have this one-time opportunity to purchase a special edition The MiamiStudent t-shirt that will look similar to the shirt you had when you were in school.

Track & Field/Cross Country Alumni Reunion

Join fellow Track & Field/Cross Country alumni as we gather to celebrate Coach Zody. Don't miss this opportunity to honor our beloved coach and help him celebrate his 80th birthday. This event will include hors d'oeuvres.

Miami Merger Reception

All Miami Mergers are invited to stop by the Upham Arch to meet up with other Mergers and enjoy a cupcake and a glass of champagne. Come share the story of how you became a Merger!

Parade Party & Parade of Classes

(The Hub)
Calling all alumni! Alumni Weekend’s traditional Parade of Classes brings alumni of all ages together at the Hub, where you’ll meet up with your classmates and parade to the Reunion Tent Area for MiamiFest. Wear your Red and White and prepare to make some noise for this display of Miami pride!

MiamiFest

(Slant Walk)
Alumni Weekend culminates in MiamiFest, a huge outdoor party complete with food, music and fun for Miamians of all ages! Moving from its traditional spot in Central Quad, MiamiFest will be held on Slant Walk, the symbolic heart of Miami’s campus.

MiamiFest will also feature the “Taste of Miami” setup, where you’ll get to pick and choose your favorite culinary traditions, and featured entertainment will include the Campus Owls Tribute Band, and a DJ. If you’re bringing the kids, KidsZone will be open from 6:30-9:30 p.m. with plenty of outdoor activities for those under the age of 12.

Join the Glee Club Alumni and current Glee Club members for a special Alumni Weekend concert. This will be a perfect way to cap off a busy and exciting day on campus.

1809 LGBT Alumni Drag Show

(Center for Performing Arts, Studio 88)
The 1809 LGBT Alumni Association proudly hosts Miami's 1st Alumni Drag Show. All are welcome and encouraged to attend this cabaret of professional, alumni and undergraduates drag performers. A gourmet coffee bar and desserts will be available. All performance tips and contributions will go to the Roy Ward Bowen Scholarship Fund.
