Welcome to the home of M.I.A.M.I. Women!
Judy Smith, crisis management expert and the inspiration for the hit TV show “Scandal,” presented the keynote address at Miami University’s third annual Women in Leadership Symposium.
The Miami Initiative for Advancing, Mentoring and Investing in Women is a university-wide initiative that works with alumni, campus offices and student groups in its efforts to encourage and support opportunities for women in leadership.
M.I.A.M.I. Women held its third annual Women in Leadership Symposium on Thursday, March 10, 2016, in the Armstrong Student Center. The symposium featured a keynote address from Judy Smith, crisis management expert and the inspiration for the hit TV show “Scandal.” The symposium was hosted on Miami University’s Oxford campus at the Armstrong Student Center.
M.I.A.M.I. Women hosted its inaugural Women in Leadership Symposium in 2014, with keynote speaker Geena Davis, and gained significant momentum with a successful 2015 Symposium, featuring Pulitzer Prize-winning authors Nicholas Kristoff and Sheryl WuDunn.
The M.I.A.M.I. Women initiative benefits from the strong leadership of its M.I.A.M.I. Women Steering Committee as well as key partnerships across campus, including the Miami Women’s Center and Office of Career Services.
