Armstrong Student Center Hits Milestone
The final steel beam is now in place, which signifies the halfway point of construction for the Armstrong Student Center. The support was attached on Oct. 23, during a special “topping out” ceremony. Following tradition, the beam was painted white and signed by key contributors as well as university faculty, staff, and students. >>

Miami Professor Named Ohio's Best
Gillian Oakenfull, associate professor of marketing in the Farmer School of Business, is Ohio's 2012 Professor of the Year. The award, given by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, is the only one that recognizes excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring. >>
