The Miami University Alumni Association believes that a Miamian is any student, alumni, faculty member, staff member, administrator or friend of the University who is interested in bettering our University.

Miami University’s strength is its people: alumni, faculty and students as well as the many friends of the University. The Miami family is bonded together by a common pride and respect for the tradition of excellence that is the hallmark of the Miami University experience.

The Alumni Association is committed to preserving Miami’s heritage and cultivating the relationships that connect us all to Miami University for a lifetime. The Miami University Alumni Association is an opportunity for all Miamians to honor their Miami memories and to engage in activities that advance the University.

Mission Statement

The Miami University Alumni Association honors Miami's heritage and fosters lifelong connections among alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends of the University. In cooperation with our University partners, we encourage meaningful involvement and leadership from all alumni to benefit the University. We cultivate goodwill and support for Miami by sponsoring social, educational, philanthropic, and service-oriented programs.

Membership levels

Miami is fortunate to have a passionate alumni base that enriches our University in so many ways. By virtue of obtaining a degree from Miami University — associates, bachelors, graduate, professional or honorary — you are a member and entitled to basic membership benefits, including group discounts and e-newsletters.

An annual gift of $50 or more per year—designated to any area on campus that is meaningful to you—qualifies you for Participant membership. Participant gifts support your designated projects and priorities anywhere in the University. Participants receive basic benefits plus the yearly calendar and access to all print issues of the Miamian. And there is no more renewal hassle.

Individuals who have earned associate, bachelor, graduate, professional, or honorary degrees from Miami University. Alumni are entitled to basic membership benefits, including group discounts and e-newsletters. 

Lifetime Members
Alumni and friends of the Miami University who joined the Alumni Association through a lifetime membership program before its discontinuation on 12/1/2014. Current lifetime members, click here to search for your brick location. Current members can also purchase a replica brick here.

Participant Members
Alumni and friends who renew their commitment to Miami University each year by making tax-deductible gifts of $50 or more to the university program(s) of their choice. 

Bicentennial Club Members
An exciting first step into Miami’s giving tradition, the Bicentennial Club recognizes donors who contribute at least $200 annually in honor of Miami’s 200 years. 

1809 Club Members
Commemorating the year of Miami’s founding, the 1809 Club is a long-standing giving society celebrating those who give $500 or more each year. 

Bishop Society Members
Honoring Miami’s first president, Robert Hamilton Bishop, the Bishop Society recognizes donors who give $1,000 or more annually.

Presidents Club Members
Miami's most prestigious annual giving society celebrates the leadership of donors who contribute $2,000 or more each year.  Through enhancing a profound commitment to teaching, advancing research and innovation, and supporting leading-edge programs and facilities, members of the Presidents Club empower Miami to embrace the possibilities of its third century.
