Your first stop at Alumni Weekend is the Goggin Ice Center to check in at the Welcome Center. Pick up your registration packet, browse the hospitality booths as well as the Alumni Shop for the latest in alumni merchandise and grab a Tuffy’s toasted roll to get your first taste of Miami nostalgia for the weekend!

Class of 1967 Meet and Greet

(Goggin Ice Center)
Start the 50-year celebrations at the Class of 1967 Meet and Greet at Goggin Ice Center. This is a great opportunity to get reacquainted with your classmates in anticipation of the rest of the weekend’s events!

Class of 1967 Golden Anniversary Reception and Dinner

In the first of many special events planned to celebrate the newest 50-year reunion class, the Class of 1967 will gather in the Armstrong Student Center’s Donald W. Fritz Pavilion for a night of fine dining, music and Miami nostalgia. President Greg Crawford recognizes each member of the Class of 1967 for their 50-year milestone with a special medallion ceremony.

Bob Keller ’73, former Miami University architect and university planner, will trace the development of Miami’s campus through the decades to the campus we have today. You’ll also get a special sneak peek of what’s being planned for the future of our campus over the next 20 years and beyond.

(Armstrong Student Center, Wilks Theater – 1st floor)
Stay in Wilks Theater following the Opening Lecture for your class photo. Or, if you did not attend the Opening Lecture, please join your classmates in Wilks Theater for your class photo.

Class of 1967 Campus Tour, Hosted by Advancement Staff and Miami University Student Foundation (MUSF) Students

(Armstrong Student Center, NEW East Wing Atrium – 1st floor)
Following the Opening Lecture, members of the University Advancement Staff and the Miami University Student Foundation (MUSF) will host a bus tour of campus and Uptown Oxford exclusively for the Class of 1967. This is the best way to see the buildings and places that Bob Keller spoke about during the Opening Lecture. It is sure to bring back so many wonderful memories as well!

With so many new changes coming to Miami’s campus, who better to host a tour than students who are experiencing these changes as they happen? The Miami University Student Foundation will lead campus bus tours throughout the day, so take this opportunity to revisit some of your favorite spots and learn about Miami’s future landmarks!

Class of 1967 Luncheon

After the Opening Lecture, join your classmates for a luncheon exclusively for the Class of 1967. This will be a chance to catch up with more of your classmates and hear from current students who will be seated at each table during lunch.

Class of 1967 Armstrong Student Center Tour

(Armstrong Student Center, Shade Family Room – 1st floor)
This is the Class of 1967’s opportunity to get a tour of one of the newest building on Miami’s campus and the new addition to the building, the East Wing. Join the tour to learn about this wonderful building and all it has to offer Miami students.

Class of 1972 Welcome Reception

Kick Alumni Weekend off right by gathering with your classmates for this welcome reception. As you get into town, be sure to pop in to connect with friends at this reception featuring hors d’oeuvres and a hosted bar.

Hughes Society Dinner Honoring the Classes of 1957 and 1962

(Marcum Conference Center, Rooms 180-186)
We are starting the Hughes Society celebrations at Alumni Weekend earlier again this year with the Hughes Society Dinner. We will honor both the Class of 1957 and the Class of 1962 and their 60-year and 55-year reunions, respectively. Don’t miss this opportunity to kick off Alumni Weekend with the “wisest” of all Miami Alumni. This event includes a plated dinner and a hosted bar.
($25 per person)

5:30-7:30 p.m.
Hillel Shabbat Dinner

(Hillel Foundation – Beerman Jewish Student Center, 11 E. Walnut St.)
Gather with friends and classmates at the Beerman Jewish Student Center to participate in a Shabbat Dinner.
(No cost to attend but registration is REQUIRED for food count)

Delta Chi Reunion Dinner

(Delta Chi House, 131 E. Withrow St.)
All Delta Chi alumni are invited to the Delta Chi chapter house for a reunion dinner honoring the brothers from the Class of 1967. This is a great chance to connect with fellow Delta Chi members and hear about the great things that the Miami Chapter is doing in 2017!
($25 per person)

Class of 1967 Reunion Party

(Armstrong Student Center, Bob and Doris ’52 Pulley Diner – 2nd floor)
The 50-year reunion class will gather at the Bob and Doris ’52 Pulley Diner for their reunion party. Enjoy this new space on campus, a space that looks like an old-time diner, complete with booths and a soda fountain bar. Typical diner food will be served including, but not limited to, sliders, steak sandwiches, onion rings, fries, milk shakes, and, of course, toasted rolls. There will also be a hosted bar available.
($10 per person)

Class of 1982 Reception

Kick Alumni Weekend off right by gathering with your classmates from 1982 for this welcome reception. As you get into town, be sure to pop in to connect with friends at this reception featuring hors d’oeuvres and a hosted bar.

Class of 1992 Reunion Dinner

(Shriver Center, Heritage Room)
There is no better way to start Alumni Weekend than a reunion reception and dinner with your classmates. Start your evening at this meal and then make your way Uptown to continue the celebration. This event includes a reception with hors d’oeuvres, a dinner and a hosted bar. 
($25 per person)

Theatre Department Cabaret

(Center for Performing Arts, Gates-Abegglen Theatre)
Join Miami Theatre alumni to reminisce with friends and enjoy an evening of entertainment and song.
Doors open at 8 p.m. and performances begin at 9 p.m. Ticket price includes a deluxe coffee and dessert bar, and entertainment by Theatre Alumni. Open to all Alumni Weekend attendees.

Back for its third year is the Alumni Weekend 5K. Take this opportunity to run on your beautiful campus and see the many changes and relive so many wonderful memories. Each registered runner will receive a Toasted Roll Run/Walk 5K technical shirt and toasted rolls will be available at the end of the race. Join us as we revive this 5K tradition.

Hughes Society Luncheon and Class of ’67 Induction

This annual luncheon in the Armstrong Student Center Pavilion brings together Miamians who graduated at least 50 years ago – the “wisest” of Miami’s alumni! In celebration of their golden anniversary during Alumni Weekend 2017, the Class of 1967 will be welcomed into the Hughes Society with a special induction ceremony during the luncheon.
($20 per person)

Class of 1977 Seal Walk, Talk and Lunch

(Armstrong Student Center, The Great Seal)
Join your fellow 1977 classmates for a lunch with a twist. This lunch will feature a conversation about The Great Seal, located in the Armstrong Student Center, which is the model of the Miami Seal found at the Hub. You will gather at the seal in Armstrong Student Center, grab a boxed lunch and get ready to learn all about the special pieces of this model. The Great Seal is a special piece of Miami and we know you will enjoy learning all about this new addition to the Miami story.
($15 per person for lunch)

Gather with others in your class and other Alumni Weekend guests for this lunch on South Quad. You can choose to either eat inside in the air-conditioned dining hall or out on the lawn to enjoy the sun. There will be activities on the lawn for kids of all ages. Come enjoy this fun-filled lunch.

Class of 1972 Remember When Lunch

Join your fellow 1972 classmates to reminisce about your days on campus. This lunch will feature Curt Ellison, Professor of History Emeritus, who will speak about the climate on campus during the late ’60s and early ’70s and will touch on the sit-In that took place in Rowan Hall.

There is more to wine than just a delicious drink. Come to this class, a shortened version of Jack’s normal “wine tasting” class, to learn more about wine, how it is produced and what makes wine taste a certain way. A wine tasting (standard 2-ounce tasting pours) with Jack describing each wine will follow this class. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about wines.

Open Skate

Take a break from the summer heat to skate on the ice at Goggin Ice Center! Open skate will be open for two hours and is FREE for all Alumni Weekend guests who are wearing their Alumni Weekend name badges.

The Black Alumni Advisory Committee invites you to join them in the new RedZone for a reception to celebrate the Black Alumni Reunion. Catch up with old friends and meet new friends as you prepare for the final night of Alumni Weekend. This reception will feature hors d’oeuvres.

Miami Merger Reception

All Miami Mergers are invited to stop by the Upham Arch to meet up with other Mergers and enjoy a cupcake and a glass of champagne. Come share the story of how you became a Merger!

Parade Party and Parade of Classes

Calling all alumni! Alumni Weekend’s traditional Parade of Classes brings alumni of all ages together at the Hub, where you’ll meet up with your classmates and parade to the Reunion Tent Area for MiamiFest. Wear your Red and White and prepare to make some noise for this display of Miami pride!

MiamiFest

(Slant Walk)
Alumni Weekend culminates in MiamiFest, a huge outdoor party complete with food, music and fun for Miamians of all ages! Moving from its traditional spot in Central Quad, MiamiFest will be held on Slant Walk, the symbolic heart of Miami’s campus.

MiamiFest will also feature the “Taste of Miami” setup, where you’ll get to pick and choose your favorite culinary traditions, and featured entertainment will include the Campus Owls Tribute Band, and a DJ. If you’re bringing the kids, KidsZone will be open from 6:30-9:30 p.m. with plenty of outdoor activities for those under the age of 12.
