How can you help me?
The career planning process involves identifying your interests, skills and values; setting goals; developing your resume; preparing for interviews; establishing networking contacts; and implementing successful job search strategies.
The main focus of Alumni Career Services is to guide you through the career planning process by providing career advising, career assessments and job-search resources. While we are contacted by organizations, looking for experienced individuals and we are able to provide a means to connect alumni to these opportunities, Alumni Career Services is not an employment agency or recruiter, actively working to fill positions.
Do I have to be a member of the Alumni Association to take advantage of Alumni Career Services?
There are resources available to all alumni with an expanded package of services and resources available to those who are dues-paying members of the Alumni Association.
Through the partnership between the Alumni Association and the Office of Career Services, membership revenue helps to support the high quality resources available – not only to alumni but to current students as well. Many of these programs would be cost prohibitive for one organization to fund alone – with pooled resources, we all benefit!
I don’t live in Oxford . How will I use the services offered?
Many of the career resources are available online and may be accessed from any computer, 24/7. Career Advising is available by phone, e-mail, or in person, and quick questions can be answered via instant messaging during virtual Walk-in Hours.
